October 2018 status update

Time for October’s status update..

Go Sober for October was an epic fail, sadly.

My weight has remained somewhat static in October so I am no closer to my goal of 75kg. With our Christmas beach holiday less than 7 weeks away it is not looking likely.

Another perfect month of closing all my Activity rings – the 10th consecutive month!

I managed 4 runs in October which is 1 less than September. The colder/darker days certainly aren’t helping.

It’s not been a good month for equity markets as most people know. As such all my investments are down and my net worth has therefore dropped.

I continue to invest money in Bitcoin each week and purchased a further £1,250 worth during October.

After several gubbings in quick succession, I decided mid-month to drop my each-way betting stakes back down to £5 (from the £10 I had started with at the beginning of the month). Despite this October was another record month.

I managed to save a record £4,385.51 which I’m pretty chuffed about.

My SIPP dropped by £12,988.51 – ouch!

ISA1 dropped by £2,831.39 and ISA2 by £1,369.90 (£4,201.29 combined).

P2P loans brought in a rather pathetic £28.76 of interest.

Each-way betting made £2,704.18 – whoop whoop! 🙂

Net worth estimate is now as follows:

House equity £300,000
Pension £223,969.21
Savings £80,306.82
Total £604,276.03 (-2.37%)

How was October for you?
